Dr. Wole Wey — Projects Director

Wole has over 30 years experience in highly demanding ICT roles. After graduation, he carried out research into Hypothetical Core Disruptive Accidents before moving to the City to lead a "Big Bang" Project  for the London Stock Exchange. He has subsequently worked on or led a range of large programmes and projects within the financial, real estate and health care sectors.

A former Technical Architect responsible for the National Westminster Bank e-commerce infrastructure, his recent roles include - Solution Architect for a number of Health IT systems for BT and Group Technical Architect of the RBS BASLE 2 programme.

Wole is particularly interested in the delivery of highly available mission critical systems and the creation of cost effective systems for his clients' competitive advantage. He is a co-founder of a number of IT and Management Consultancy businesses in the US and UK.

Lars Engstrom — Technical Director

Lars has 20 years experience of different high profile roles within the IT business. Lars has been working as solutions architect for major companies like IBM Global Services, Sun Microsystems, Cap Gemini as well as a number of smaller IT consultancies.

Lars worked as Practice Manager and Java Architect for the Java Practice at Sun Microsystems before starting his own IT Consultancy. He has held a number of senior solutions architect roles in recent years being technically responsible for the roll out and integration of the Primary Care solution for London which included co-ordination of a multi-disciplinary team in providing a holistic Heath IT solution.

Lars main area of interest is in architecting and designing highly available and scalable solutions built on robust architectures. He is well versed in industry best practice development methodologies and architectural frameworks as well as project management methodologies. Lars is co-founder of a number of IT consultancy businesses in the UK.

Dr. Ian Maconochie—Clinical Director & Subject Matter Expert

Ian Maconochie qualified in 1984 from St Thomas’ Medical School and has been pursuing a career in paediatrics since that time, working in as a junior doctor in St Thomas’s Hospital, King’s College Hospital, West Lambeth Health Authority, Lewisham, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children,  and St Mary’s  Hospital, where whilst the Senior Registrar he conducted research for which he was awarded a PhD. He was appointed as the lead consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine in 2000.

Ian has an interest in evidence based practice, having been involved in NICE head injury, and the current meningitis and meningococcal management guidelines. He has contributed to 3 Cochrane reviews, two on Kawasaki disease and one on fluid management in meningitis in children, and is undertaking a fourth on the role of antipyretics in fever management. He has published over 50 papers, is a deputy editor of the EMJ, commissioning editor and associate editor for the leading UK paediatric journal, Archives of Diseases of Childhood, and sits on the editorial advisory group for the British Medical Journal. He is a member of both the UK resuscitation council and the European Resuscitation Council and is involved in writing the international guidelines for how resuscitation in children is to be conducted.
